The WS Autoweld 2 series of machines are a low cost option for semi automatic welding of transformer laminations. The laminations are manually inserted and loaded onto the welding machine nest table, the start buttons are pressed, the fully locked integrated guard system operates. The transformer is then powered into the welding machine and returned to the operator fully loaded at the end of the cycle. The main advantage of this type of machine is the extremely quick tool changes between pattern sizes. This feature allows for small to medium production runs because of the extremely short setup time.

All clamping and welding takes place in a fully guarded and enclosed machine area, with the welding torches being water cooled allowing for extended periods of tungsten use.
